Trump is Caligula

Donald Trump is a lot of things, some of which I have addressed in other articles and will continue to write about in the future. According to historian Tom Holland, he can be most accurately compared to the Roman Emperor Caligula, best known for being on that videotape beneath your parents' mattress.

Caligula is said to have been a vain bully aristocrat who was fond of spectacle and who manipulated the populace in order to feed his insatiable greed for power. Also, to paraphrase most scholars who have studied the matter, he is said to have been kind of fucked in the head, possibly the result of a brain-eating venereal disease.

Incidentally, Caligula was only the Emperor of Rome for four years. In that time, he did enough damage through his own incompetence and lack of personal restraint that the empire itself would eventually fall.

Just saying.
